How do rss feeds affect search engine rankings?
Any change to your web pages - whether it be textual, images, or structural may affect how search engines index your site, and may increase or decrease any search engine positions you currently have on your site.
For example, adding in an rss feed may be putting additional text on your site which may, or may not, affect the search engine indexing of your site. Remember, too, that the content from the rss feed will be changing (depending on the feed you select), and so, over time, the content shown on the page will change. Therefore, search engines may pick up on words which may or may not be relevant to your site from the rss feed and alter the position of your site within their rankings - either up or down.
If search engine positioning is important to you on your site, you will need to consult a search engine specialist to see if adding an rss feed to your site is going to affect your positioning. ADEW are not search engine specialists, and cannot therefore offer specific advice about the affect of adding in an rss feed to your site, and how search engines will react to this.
