I've been a freelance web programmer developer for some years, and have used javascript within that a lot. I used to be a commercial C++ programmer, working on Teletext systems for companies such as the BBC, before I went freelance. So programming is in my blood.

I tend to work on a fixed price quote for a fixed amount of work; although I can also work on a pay per hour basis in some situations.

Browser Compatibility

I test JavaScript work I do on both Mac Safari as well as IE6/7 and Firefox as I'm aware that the code needs to work on all browsers.

Examples

As so many sites I work on use JavaScript, providing specific examples are difficult, but I've done various types of integration of javascript into sites to perform various tasks, including sending content to iframes, manipulating / reloading images etc. I don't tend to use JavaScript to do what should be done using server side scripting - just what is needed in the browser.
